I’m Harya/Wishnu. I got into security in college by tinkering with Linux and taking my machines apart. I wanted to know why something broke, and what happened when software got used in a way its author did not expect.
I studied computer science at Bandung Institute of Technology. My undergraduate project was a Python compiler for a 32-bit RISC-V processor. I still like the parts of computing most people never see.
Since then, I have worked in fintech, banking, securities, and capital markets. Most of my work sits between security operations and engineering: cloud and network security, identity, incident response, and secure software development.
Lately I have been spending time on AI security and on whether security controls keep working outside a diagram. This site is where I write about experiments, tools, and the things I have had to correct along the way.
Outside work, I tinker with Linux, self-hosted services, and whatever else catches my attention. Some of it probably did not need tinkering :-)
